We’re grateful to have been named a finalist for the GenAI Zürich Awards on April 1st. This recognition reflects our ongoing effort to understand how AI might enhance ultrasound-guided, minimally invasive surgery.
At the finale, we presented our SoNIT project (Sonography Nerve Instrument Tracking), which combines AI-driven image analysis with real-time sonography to support safer, more precise treatments for conditions like trigger finger and carpal tunnel syndrome. We’ve been fortunate to develop this solution alongside clinicians, engineers, and academic partners—including FHNW, HES-SO, and Insel Gruppe—with support from Innosuisse.
Although we didn’t take home the top prize, the experience was insightful.
Congratulations to Syngenta on earning the Impact Award for their AgriTech GenAI work, and to CGC Genomics for the Community Award in precision cancer care. Their achievements remind us of the many ways AI can make a difference.
We remain committed to improving our AI-guided ultrasound tools for hand surgery, with Spirecut’s goal of creating practical, accessible solutions that benefit patients and practitioners alike.
Thank you to the GenAI Zürich jury for this opportunity, to our fellow finalists for sharing their inspiring projects, and to our community for your continued support. We look forward to sharing what comes next.
