Fall update

Why This Quarter Matters

Across healthcare systems, the shift from theatres to outpatient care is accelerating, freeing capacity, improving patient experience, and lowering costs. This quarter, Spirecut advanced that movement: incision-free, ultrasound-guided hand surgery (for Carpal Tunnel and Trigger Finger) transitioned from pilots to structured pathways, training, and adoption frameworks.

August Clinical Pathways for Outcomes

NHS Wales first: Wrexham Maelor Hospital began offering ultrasound-guided CTR in the outpatient setting, reducing theatre load, speeding recovery, and cutting costs.

Erasme Brussels exchange: Glasgow and Kraków teams trained with Profs. Schuind & Moungondo on standardised protocols and outcome tracking.

Community presence: Shared learnings at Medtech Innovation Event (MIE25) in Biel/Bienne.

Partner highlights:

Curmed (CH): 100+ procedures milestone at Clinique de la Main Genève.

Sovereign Medical (UK): Expanded outpatient pathways via simulation-led learning.
Takeaway: Strong pathways start with built-in governance, training, and data capture.

September International Expansion

Germany launch: Partnership with iROC GmbH near Munich, performing incision-free CTS and Trigger Finger releases.

APFSSH 2025 (Mumbai): Prof. Schuind engaged APAC surgeons in structured training.

UK rollout: From “Super Sono Saturdays” to department-level implementation at Wrightington, Shrewsbury & Telford, James Cook, and more.

Capital collaboration: On stage with BSCC, connecting Swiss and UK innovators.
Takeaway: Expansion works when innovation pairs with local champions and training engines.

October Visibility, Training & Governance

DGH Congress (Würzburg): iROC showcased Spirecut to Germany’s hand-surgery community.

UK training days: Focused on phantom scanning, governance, and live cases.

Patient story: Bilateral CTS resolved under local anaesthesia only—quick recovery, minimal disruption.

Team growth: Nihat Karaoglu joined as Executive Director to steer US entry and Series A.

Home base: Colab Fribourg spotlighted Spirecut’s global rise.
Takeaway: Visibility drives impact when tied to training, governance, and patient value.

What’s Next (Nov–Jan)

Medica (Düsseldorf, Nov 17–20): Implementation playbooks and economic calculators on-site.

Lyon Ultrasound Course (Dec 16–17): Hand & wrist ultrasound masterclass.

Wrightington Masterclass (Jan 8–9): Ultrasound-guided techniques with Prof. Moungondo.

Join us at Medica to explore pathways, workflow redesign, and cost-of-care models.
